Fall is Here and so is Pumpkin Beer

It's that time of year again, football is here, September baseball is here, it's finally starting to cool off, and pumpkin beers have hit the shelf.

Let's be honest to start off, pumpkin beers on the whole suck. You know it, I know it, everyone knows it. If you don't then you've never had one. Still, every year I think I'm going to find one that I like, and last night, I'm pretty sure I did.

Gnomes says 8 is the Magic Number!

Schlafly Pumpkin Ale. Simply put, it's a pumpkin pie in a bottle. This is basically the only pumpkin beer I've had that has successfully integrated the spice flavors with the pumpkin flavor. It's ridiculously creamy, and smells and feels like you're drinking a pumpkin pie. Review is here. Needless to say, if you want a pumpkin beer, get this one.

Couple of things to wrap up here. One, sorry for the low quality pictures. I'm waiting on my upgrade to get a new phone, and until then I still have my nearly 5 year old dumb phone. Two, the Reds' magic number is at 8, and with the trip to Miami and StL playing as poorly as they are right now, the promised land is well within sight.
