Tickin' Ain't Easy

Alright people,

It's been a few days, so I owe you a post. It'll be a short one for those of my 26 readers with short attention spans (and I have a feeling that is most of you).

First off, if you know about my beer habits, you'll know that I am a ticker. A ticker is a person who drinks and reviews as many different beers as he can get his hands on. That being said, when I saw that the local grocery had a $1 bottle special on limited crafts....game on.

First, last night I had Beck's Beer. This is a classic German Pilsner that I have neglected to have yet. It's not a style I love, but I figured what the heck. It's not a bad beer, but it's just not my style. Light and easy to drink, but skunky in scent and flavor. REVIEW.

Tonight, I started with the new Beck's Sapphire. This is a 6% alcohol take on the original Beck's that touts German sapphire hops on the label. Well.....so much for having a hop profile. This beer tasted like malt liquor, except the malts were not as good as a malt liquor. Just not a pleasant experience drinking this beer. Try it once, if you like it, power to ya, otherwise, heed my advice. REVIEW.

Last new beer of my night tonight was a new beer from Leinenkugel's; Canoe Paddler. I had slightly higher expectations here because I usually like Kolschs. Well, I was only a little let down. This is better than the Sapphire, but not the best Kolsch I've had. The thing different about this one is that it has rye in it. And through the first 3/4's of the drink, it is just mediocre Kolsch. During the last bit of this beer though, the rye take over with a grainy dominance. REVIEW.

That's it people, short and sweet. Sorry for not having pictures, but....you know....I'm lazy. Until next time, cheers!

-Chris
