The Gueuze is Here!

Alright people, we'll get back to upbeat beer posts with this one.

I forgot to mention earlier this week that I had a trade coming in. Frankly, I forgot to mention that a trade was even in the works....my bad. Anyway, I've been looking to get some more sours recently, but they are darn expensive, so what did I do? I came up with the only way to make it more expensive; with a trade. I offered up some of my recently obtained BCBS with the hopes of landing some Cantillon of 3F sours.

As usual, make a trade post on BA that you have a sought after beer, and let the inbox influx commence. After sifting through offers, some good and others laughably bad, I found s trade that worked for me.

Fast forward 4 days, and , BOOM! box full of great Belgian gueuzes is here! I was able to snag 2 Cantillon Classic Gueuzes, a 3F Oude Geuze Golden Blend, and a 3F Oude Geuze. A pretty good haul if I do say so myself.

And tonight was a great night to try the Cantillon Classic. Quite simply, it was one of the best beers I've ever had. I've only had Iris from Cantillon before, and it was a year older and on tap, and it was phenomenal. If I can get my hands on any more Cantillon, Founders better watch out, I'll have a new favorite. Here's my full review, but just quickly, if you're looking to get into sours, I'd start here. Contrary to popular opinion, I didn't find this one tremendously sour, just a great balance of sour among the other flavors.

Well, that's all folks, check back soon for more content, and enjoy a classic Belgian in the meantime!
